시카고 Punk Revival 사운드의 대표주자 Rise Against의 통산 5번째 앨범 [Appeal To Reason] 미국반!!! 보컬과 기타를 맡고 있는 Tim McIlrath를 중심으로한 4인조 밴드인 이들은 2001년 앨범 [The Unraveling]으로 데뷰한 이래 2003년 언더그라운드 2집 앨범 [Revolutions Per Minute]의 성공으로 메이저 레코드사 Geffen과 계약해 앨범 [Siren Song of the Counter Culture]와 [The Sufferer & the Witness]로 펑크 리바이벌 사운드의 대표주자로 우뚝서게 됐다. 콜로라도에서 녹음된 이 앨범은 빌보드 앨범차트 3위, 캐나다 앨범차트 1위에 올랐었으며 'Re-Education (Through Labor)', 'Audience of One', 'Savior', 'Hero of War'등 네곡의 싱글 히트곡을 남겼다.
