전작에서는 다케미츠의 <멀리 있는 요정>으로 대표되는 바이올린과 피아노의 몽환적 풍광을 연주했던 자매 듀오 가차나가 이번에는 옛 형식을 20세기와 21세기에 이끌고 온 다섯 개의 작품을 연주한다. 슈니트케 <옛 형식의 모음곡>, 풀랑크 바이올린 소나타의 고전적 형식미는 물론이고, 바흐의 이니셜을 내세운 실베스트로프, 월튼의 <토카타>, 그리고 타르티니에게 바치는 달라피콜라의 바로크적 단상에 이르기까지 바이올린의 비르투오소가 더욱 두드러진 작품들이다. 곳곳에서 표출되는 감각적 선율을 끈끈한 톤으로 휘감아 오는 나타시아 가차나의 매력과 마지막 달라피콜라에서 전하는 진한 애상이 감동적 여운을 남긴다.
