2002년 시카고에서 결성된 JUNIOR VARSITY는 결성 초부터 음악을 통한 실험을 결코 두려워하지 않았다. 지난 4년 간 팬들을 사로 잡았던 이들이 2003년 EP를, 그리고 2004년에는 첫 번째 정규앨범 THE GREAT COMPROMISE를 소규모 인디 레이블을 통해 발매했었다. 이를 밑바탕으로 자신들의 고향 최고의 레이블 빅토리 레코드를 통해 WIDE EYED를 발매하여 25,000장 이상의 판매고를 보이며 신작을 목놓아 기다리게 만들었다. 신작이 발매되기에 앞서 빅토리에서는 이들의 데뷔앨범에 B-SIDE, 희귀곡 그리고 그들의 일대기를 보여주는 DVD가 포함됨으로서 신작을 기다리는 팬들에게 좋은 선물이 되고 있다.
