80년대 영국에서 큰 성공을 거뒀던 뉴웨이브/포스트 펑크록 밴드 Big Country의 83년 데뷰 플레티넘 기록 앨범 The Crossing [2CD Deluxe Edition]!!! 1981년 스코틀랜드 Fife에서 팀결성, Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Police등에게 영향을 받은 이들은 88년 4집 [Peace in Our Time]까지 영국 앨범차트 탑텐에 들었던 인기밴드였다. 이들의 첫 데뷰작 [The Crossing]에는 경쾌한 뉴웨이브 펑크 풍의 그룹송 ''In A Big Country''를 비롯해 영국 싱글차트 10위에 올랐던 ''Fields Of Fire'', 켈틱과 뉴웨이브 록이 융합된 ''Chance'', U2의 초창기 포스트 펑크사운드를 닮은 ''Inwards''등을 수록하고 있다. 이번 디럭스반에는 10곡의 정규반 트랙, 7곡의 보너스트랙, 처음으로 공개되는 17곡의 데모, 믹스, 라이브 트랙들이 추가 수록되어있다.
